Singer Usher Supports The New Look Foundation where Scott Mead is a Chairman

Successful R&B singer Usher talks about the New Look Foundation, a foundation helping young people to grow and become key members and leaders. Scott Mead is a board member in the foundation. He is a philanthropist who supports many causes such as sports, academics and health. Scott Mead spoke about his satisfaction with the program and his intention in helping it reach new regions as the UK.

According to the Scott Mead '77 Harvard Men's Tennis coach, David Fish, the tennis complex can be used for 3 simultaneous dual matches and seats 500 spectators. The Beren Tennis Center has 18 outdoor courts and a two-story pavilion that houses a center for the media and managerial offices. The Murr Center is equipped with six indoor courts with stadium viewing and the Barnaby galleries on the second floor. The Harvard tennis program is also home to the Palmer Dixon Strength and Conditioning Center, which is the largest center of its type in the country. Scott Mead is a loyal and long-time supporter of the tennis program at Harvard. The university, as well as the entire Boston area, has use of the extensive tennis facilities and the courts that have hosted NCA Championship opening rounds that attracted national teams.

The Scott Mead Harvard men’s head Coach David Fish embraces the experience and contribution of gymnast Bruce Wright to the Harvard men’s tennis team. After carefully studying on court movements, Wright is helping players improve their game through use of high sets. By keeping a higher center of gravity, players are more consistent with quick moves, experience greater stamina and recover balance faster.

Former Harvard graduate Scott Mead continues to support the Men's Tennis team through endowments and special programs. The program, started more than a century ago, is known for its great competitive spirit.

The head coach for Harvard's Men's Tennis program, Dave Fish, is pleased with the great fall season that just passed and is anticipating a winning season in 2011. The team, led by team captain Aba Omodele-Lucien, continues to improve as it learns to work together with the returning players as well as the new faces who joined the team in the fall. The schedule looks good with Northwestern, Perdue and Indiana all coming in for a lot great games leading up to the Ivy League.The Men's Tennis Program at Harvard is enjoying a gift from former student Scott Mead that endows the position of team coach. Scott Mead was an athlete at Harvard as a student in 1977 and stands strong in his commitment to Harvard's outstanding tennis team.

Head Coach Dave Fish has been with Harvard since 1976 and is encouraged by the enthusiasm and ability the team players have shown in working together smoothly. The members are full of energy and enthusiasm and have been working hard to prepare themselves to play together as a formidable and competitive team. Former Harvard alumni Scott Mead is a great fan of tennis and recently offered a generous gift to Harvard that will ensure the position of head coach for the Men's Tennis Program.
